Salary
£41,818.21 per annum plus an additional 5% salary in recognition of shift and weekend working, plus an additional £3,000 in allowances per annum.

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Electrician to join our Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Wandsworth, a category B male prison. The prison operates like a self-contained city, requiring hundreds of people to keep it functioning smoothly and safely. As part of the team, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including plumbers, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and administrators, all committed to creating a safe and secure environment for prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.

This role offers the opportunity to use your skills to make a positive difference and support rehabilitation and positive change. You will be part of a supportive and driven team that works Monday to Sunday, fostering a family-like atmosphere.

Experience
- Minimum two years' experience working as an electrician
- Experience with commercial or industrial electrical systems
- Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations

Qualifications
- Qualified to City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation)
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certificate (BS7671)
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
