About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Brookways School in Sutton. Due to our expanding therapeutic provision, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychotherapist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our pupils, developing tailored care plans, and utilising effective communication skills to foster a supportive therapeutic environment. You will conduct thorough assessments of pupils' mental health needs and develop comprehensive care plans, work collaboratively with the onsite therapy team, provide individual and group therapy sessions employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, maintain accurate and up-to-date records using IT systems, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, and engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in psychotherapy.

Experience
Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with pupils from diverse backgrounds.

About you
A recognised qualification in psychotherapy or counselling is essential. Professional membership with a recognised body (e.g. UKCP or BACP) is required. Familiarity with developing care plans and utilising IT systems is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a commitment to promoting mental well-being are crucial for success in this position. Proficiency in IT systems for documentation is necessary.
