About the Role
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated educator looking to make a real impact on young minds? We are seeking a motivated and inspiring English Teacher to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of our children and young people. This role will commence in January 2026.

You will plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge children and young people. You will foster a positive learning environment that supports their educational and personal growth. Assessing and monitoring student progress, you will provide constructive feedback and support. Collaboration with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community is essential to ensure student success. You will also participate in school activities, extracurricular programs, and professional development opportunities.

Mapesbury School, part of Kedleston Group, is a Special Educational Needs school in Cricklewood, Brent, supporting children aged 7 to 16 with Autism and associated conditions who have not been able to access education in mainstream or specialist settings. The school offers an integrated therapeutic approach to education. Pupils have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) and may display traits of Autism and associated conditions.

Kedleston Group specialises in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). Requirements

Experience
- Experience in teaching English as a specialism
- Experience working with children with SEND and ASC is ideal but applications from those working in mainstream settings are very welcome

About you
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching methods

Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A qualification in SEND education is desirable
