About the Role
The Community Development Coordinator, known internally as a Regional Community Coordinator, will report to the Regional Manager, Community Impact. The purpose of this role is to engage, support, and empower communities experiencing multiple barriers. The post holder will shape local plans to build appropriate infrastructure to address local inequalities and work with internal and external colleagues to ensure that community needs are fully addressed. This role will involve managing and developing a range of services in our community centres across South London.

Experience
We are seeking an individual with experience in Community Investment who can build trust with local communities to empower them to thrive. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and facilitation skills and experience in delivering hard targets within a performance-driven environment. A track record of supporting communities with multiple issues and barriers is essential, along with providing coordinated holistic services and a good working knowledge of the issues affecting those living in social housing.

About you
The ideal candidate will have experience in developing funding proposals, commissioning partners, and using insight to inform their work. We are looking for an agile team member who is passionate about community work and dedicated to fostering positive change for individuals and communities. Access to transport and a valid driving licence are essential for this role.

No specific qualifications are required, but a strong commitment to community development and a proactive approach to addressing community needs are essential.
