Westminster Bridge Rd, London. This role is primarily field- and office-based with regular travel required to our offices in Waterloo, Pitsea, and Houghton Hall, as well as contractor sites in Loughton and Houghton Regis. Flexibility to travel between these locations is essential.

Full Time - standard working hours with flexibility as required to support operational needs.

£58,000 per annum

About the Role
We are seeking a confident, proactive Contracts Manager (maternity cover, up to 12 months) to join our newly formed Repairs Team at Peabody. In this role, you will manage the performance of responsive repair contractors, support strategic contract administration, and drive continuous service improvements. You will work closely with operational teams and stakeholders to ensure quality, value for money, and customer satisfaction.

Your key responsibilities will include managing contractor performance, resolving escalations, ensuring KPIs are met, supporting Property Services Managers, leading regular review meetings, acting as a point of escalation, using data and insight to support proactive service delivery, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Recruitment Process

Please note this role requires a Basic DBS check and a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle is desirable.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven contract management experience including managing contractor performance, KPIs, and resolving escalations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to build rapport across all levels and challenge constructively.
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability, thinking creatively and making fair, independent decisions.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
- Right to work in the UK is essential; visa sponsorship is not available.
