About the Role
Salesforce is seeking a high-performing, result-oriented Corp Counsel to provide maternity cover within our UK & Ireland Commercial Legal team. This 12-month fixed-term contract supports Salesforce's UKI public sector business. You will work closely with a Senior Counsel covering the Public Sector, delivering innovative, trusted, and world-class legal services aimed at driving sales performance and fostering customer relationships. Your main responsibilities will include structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial agreements for direct and indirect Public Sector sales routes, with a focus on large UK public sector procurements and framework agreements such as BOS2 and other government frameworks. You will lead negotiations of Master Services Agreements, Order Forms, Professional Services agreements, and related commercial documentation, navigating complex public procurement requirements and ensuring compliance with public sector procurement regulations. Partnering with sales teams and business stakeholders across the UK region, you will provide strategic legal guidance, assess commercial and legal risks, and collaborate cross-functionally with legal, procurement, finance, and operations teams. You will also utilize Salesforce's internal systems to track legal cases and manage workflows. This role is ideal for someone with strong legal knowledge, negotiation skills, and an interest in high tech and innovative legal solutions.

Requirements

Experience
- Qualified Solicitor with current practicing certificate (England & Wales) or equivalent UK legal qualification
- 5+ years of commercial legal experience, ideally in-house at a technology company or in private practice advising tech clients
- Strong public sector experience with knowledge of UK procurement legislation, government in-house experience and/or experience with UK government frameworks (e.g. G-Cloud, BOS2)
- Substantive expertise in data privacy and intellectual property law
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills balancing commercial objectives with legal risk management
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills with pragmatic, business-focused legal advice
- Project management capabilities to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously
- Experience with SaaS agreements and technology transactions
- Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently and escalate appropriately
