About the Role
THE·TEAM is a global representation and marketing company operating across 28 countries and more than 70 cities. We are seeking a proactive and organised Credit Controller to join our Finance team. In this role, you will manage customer accounts, support timely payments, and maintain accurate financial records. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve payment queries, improve cash collection, and support effective financial planning. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, building positive working relationships, and contributing to the smooth running of a busy finance function.

Your key responsibilities will include managing credit control and collections by proactively following up overdue balances, investigating and resolving customer payment disputes, and working towards monthly collection targets to improve debtor days. You will ensure credit control activities align with agreed procedures.

You will support billing and payment processes by collaborating with the billing team to ensure sales invoices are accurate and timely, liaising with clients to confirm purchase order requirements, and accurately recording and allocating customer payments including bank transfers, cheques, and credit card transactions in line with finance policies.

Monitoring cash flow and reporting will be essential, including forecasting incoming payments, identifying potential collection issues, and producing weekly and monthly reports to support cash management.

Building strong customer relationships by delivering excellent service, providing commercial input, regularly reviewing customer accounts and ledgers, and maintaining the internal ticketing system to ensure prompt query resolution will also be part of your role.

Additionally, you will support finance operations by completing month-end activities accurately and on time, identifying process improvements, assisting colleagues with ad hoc tasks, and providing team cover when required.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines. Proactive and collaborative problem solver with a willingness to improve processes, take ownership, and support colleagues across the business. Comfortable working with spreadsheets, finance systems, and supporting cash forecasting and reporting.
