Core skills and experience we're looking for…. Proficiency in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines, as well as experience with big data processing tools like Apache Spark / Dataproc and Dataflow. Knowledge of various data storage options (e.g., relational databases, NoSQL, data lakes) and hands-on experience with managing and optimizing databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigQuery, Bigtable. Familiarity with data integration tools and techniques, including ETL / ELT processes and real-time data streaming (e.g., using Apache Kafka or Pub/Sub). Strong understanding of machine learning, data analytics, data visualisation, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Vertex AI, Looker, Power BI, Tableau) to help organizations derive insights from their data. Understanding of GCP services, architectures, and best practices, with experience in designing and implementing scalable and cost-effective solutions. Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer) are a plus. You'll be comfortable with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CI/CD using Jenkins and GitHub Actions, as well as have a proficient understanding of Cloud Networking (e.g. VPCs) and Cloud Security If you're excited by this role but your skills and experience don't quite fit the job description, please apply anyway.
