About the Role
Personalised Experiences and Communications (PEC) is a key business platform within Consumer Relationships that supports Lloyds Banking Group's strategic goals by deepening customer relationships. PEC delivers personalised communications and experiences across all channels and business areas, enabling the Customer Relationship Growth strategy for retail and commercial banking. It also drives data, analytics, and technology to enhance branded experiences, propositions, pricing, and sustainable, paper-free ambitions.
As Lead Quality Engineer, you will shape technical solutions, lead engineering practices, and collaborate closely with product and engineering teams. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality software delivery aligned with the Group’s engineering transformation strategy.

Experience
- Strong Quality Engineering and Test Management experience across the entire test lifecycle
- Proven ability to lead transformation initiatives supporting agility, capability-building, and the wider Engineering Transformation Strategy
- Experience embedding QE standard methodologies across various technology stacks
- Expertise in test automation, user acceptance testing, mocking, and test data management
- Knowledge of wider testing approaches and tooling including security, performance, chaos, and contract testing
- Understanding of systems design considerations such as security, cloud, event-driven systems, microservices, resilience, automation, and SRE
- Experience with shift-left solutions and expanding testing capabilities

Qualifications
Desirable skills include:
- Cypress, Playwright, Karate, Jenkins, GitHub, Selenium, Applitools
- Experience with desktop/mobile cloud testing tools such as Perfecto, BrowserStack, or SauceLabs
- Deep understanding of Java, JavaScript, NodeJS, Postman, TDD, and BDD best practices
- Hands-on experience building test automation frameworks from scratch in an agile environment
- Strong experience with Appium, WebdriverIO, Cucumber, and API automation tools such as RestAssured, Karate, and Postman
