About the Role
As a Microsoft Data Center Technician (DCT), you will stage, set up, and perform hardware deployments. You will also troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, perform hardware decommissions for simple changes and refreshes following Standard Operating Procedures. Responsibilities include performing diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures, quickly identifying issues and replacing faulty components with minimal disruption. You will conduct post-execution quality checks ensuring proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling according to safety protocols and deployment standards. You will decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes, communicate and escalate incidents appropriately, assist and mentor other technicians, complete required training, and contribute positively to the team environment. Pride and accountability for service quality and user experience are essential.
Experience
Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components with experience supporting IT equipment or related technology is required. Experience supporting IT equipment or related technology is preferred.

Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required. Preferred certifications include CompTIA A+, Server+, Network+, and Basic Structure Cabling (BSC). Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years thereafter, is mandatory.
