About the Role
As a Microsoft Data Center Technician (DCT), you will stage, set up and perform hardware deployments. You will also perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on equipment, as well as hardware decommissions for simple changes and refreshes following Standard Operating Procedures. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your understanding of Data Center processes and procedures, develop mentoring skills by providing guidance to peers, and familiarize yourself with security and data management protocols. You will play a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.

Experience
Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components and experience supporting IT equipment or related technology is required. Experience supporting IT equipment or related technology is preferred.

Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required. Applicable certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+) and Basic Structure Cabling (BSC) are preferred but not mandatory. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years thereafter, is required.
