About the Role
Do you want to work for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and care for the Defence Estate? DIO enables Defence to live, work, train and deploy, all with sustainability in mind. From net carbon zero accommodations to runways for the F35 fighter jets; our outputs are unique in the UK and across the globe.
The Private Finance Initiative Group (PFI) provides estate and infrastructure services through long term contracts (typically 20-35 years) valued at some £20bn through life with annual budgets of £600M. We provide hard and soft facilities management services to approximately 35,000 military and civilian personnel at strategic locations including the MOD Main Building, Northwood, Corsham, HMS Drake in HMNB Devonport, and garrisons in Colchester, Aldershot and Salisbury Plain.
As a Facilities Manager within the South East Region and PFI team, you will play a key role supporting one of the Ministry of Defence's most important and high-profile locations – the MOD Main Building in Central London. This challenging and rewarding role involves overseeing the delivery of hard and soft FM services, assuring contractual performance, engaging with senior stakeholders, and supporting infrastructure projects within a complex operational environment.
The role requires a visible on-site presence during normal business hours, engaging directly with customers, contractors and stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and operational assurance. This position is not suitable for remote working and requires Developed Vetting (DV) Security Clearance. The vacancy is open to sole UK Nationals only due to security requirements.
Experience
- Experience or understanding of Facilities Management within a complex operational Estate Management or infrastructure environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to changing operational demands.
- Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
Desirable
- Experience of Contract Management within a demanding delivery environment.
- Knowledge of performance management, assurance and compliance activities within facilities management services.

Qualifications
