About the Role
Join London and Quadrant Housing Trust’s expanding Disrepair Surveying team within Property Services. Reporting to the Senior Disrepair Surveyor, you will manage a caseload of complex disrepair and complaint cases across a varied housing stock including new builds, converted street properties, high rise flats and purpose-built blocks. Your role will focus on delivering precise and accurate information to achieve clear and prompt resolutions for residents.
You will survey properties and produce thorough reports and specifications in line with Building Standards and legal requirements, demonstrating strong knowledge of contract legislation including The Housing Conditions Protocol and the Fitness for Human Habitation Act. Travel across L&Q’s large geographic area is essential, so a full driving licence and access to a car are required.
The role demands excellent project management skills, the ability to juggle a varied workload in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, budgetary control, and strong communication and influencing skills. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders including legal teams, local authorities, residents, contractors and consultants to find solutions and close cases.
This is a socially rewarding role where you will make a real difference to residents and the local community by ensuring safe, secure, and well-maintained homes. You will provide outstanding customer service, listening and showing empathy with an inclusive attitude to resolving repair issues.
Benefits include an excellent pension plan (up to 6% double contribution), 28 days annual leave rising to 31 days with length of service plus bank holidays, Westfield Health Cash Plan, non-contributory life assurance, up to 21 hours paid volunteering days, lifestyle benefits, Employee Assistance Programme and more.
