About the Role
The Distinguished Technical Architect, Data & AI is a senior technical leadership role within Salesforce's EMEA Go-to-Market organization. This role is part of the Agentforce & Data360 Specialist team, an elite group of Technical Architects operating at the intersection of Data, AI, and enterprise transformation. The team is purpose-built to accelerate Agentforce and Data360 sales and value realization across EMEA's most strategic enterprise customers. This is a field-facing, C-suite-adjacent role focused on solving the hardest problems at the highest stakes.

The role sits at the centre of Salesforce's GTM strategy in EMEA, connecting Data & AI Products, Product Marketing, Enablement, Customer Success, and the Partner Ecosystem. It operates across the full customer lifecycle to ensure customers not only purchase Agentforce and Data360 but also succeed with them.

Your Impact
As Distinguished Technical Architect, Data & AI, you will be Salesforce's most senior technical voice on Data and AI in EMEA, acting as a Field Chief Data and AI Officer in practice. Your impact spans three primary dimensions:
1. Thought Leadership & Industry Presence: Represent Salesforce at events, conferences, analyst briefings, and customer roundtables across EMEA. Present with authority to both technical and executive audiences. Publish technical thought leadership that shapes enterprise AI and data strategy. Build and maintain a trusted personal brand.
2. Strategic Architecture in Complex Deal Cycles: Act as a senior technical authority in Salesforce's most strategic and complex deals. Engage with CDAO, CTO, and CIO level executives to shape enterprise data and AI strategy. Lead architectural deep-dives, design sprints, and prototype development to accelerate buying decisions. Own technical architecture decisions including data modelling, identity resolution, and activation strategies.
3. Reusable Assets & Internal Force Multiplication: Package and codify architectural patterns, reference designs, and technical playbooks for use across EMEA. Coach and elevate the broader team through IP contribution and program leadership. Develop scalable enablement assets and partner with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap and product improvements. Contribute to the global Architect community by sharing best practices and reusable IP.

Experience
15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, technical consulting, or technical pre-sales in Data and AI domains. Deep hands-on expertise with enterprise data platforms, AI/ML, Generative AI, and agentic architectures including Salesforce Agentforce, Data360, and the Salesforce platform. Proven track record engaging C-level executives (CDO, CTO, CIO, CDAO) as a trusted technical advisor. Experience presenting at major industry events and publishing technical thought leadership. Demonstrated ability to design and deliver reusable technical assets at scale. Fluency with modern data and AI stacks including cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery), agentic frameworks, RAG, vector databases, LLM orchestration, data governance, and enterprise integration patterns. Hands-on programming skills (Python, JavaScript, SQL) and familiarity with agent interoperability standards (MCP, A2A). Experience working in complex, matrixed enterprise environments across multiple EMEA markets.

Qualifications
Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on core competencies including leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, and work experience.

Technical Skill Set
- Data Architecture & Platforms: Cloud data platforms, SQL, ingestion pipelines, ETL/ELT, data modelling, semantic layers, integration patterns, and TCO trade-offs.
- AI & Agentic Architecture: Foundational ML concepts, applied AI, Generative AI, prompt engineering, RAG, vector stores, agentic architectures, and agent lifecycle management.
- Agentforce & Salesforce Platform: Deep architectural understanding of Data and AI activation within Salesforce including Agentforce, Data360, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud. Hands-on experience with Agentforce Studio and Agent Builder.
- Analytics & BI: Working knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker.
- Integration Patterns: MuleSoft APIs, hyperscaler SDKs, cross-platform integrations, and enterprise governance frameworks.
