About the Role
As a Duty Administrator at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the duty team. Your responsibilities include screening referrals and adding them to the waiting list for triage at the daily meeting, attending daily meetings to ensure clinical plans are communicated effectively to team members, external staff, and partner organisations. You will work independently, prioritising your workload in a busy environment with conflicting demands, knowing when to escalate issues or seek support. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams, Zoom, and other digital platforms is essential. You will manage booking screens to ensure appointments are scheduled within KPI timeframes, handle telephone enquiries, and provide a meet and greet service when reception cover is required, dealing with patients and the public empathetically. Additional duties include collecting and distributing mail, meeting deadlines, managing time effectively, and participating in regular supervision and annual appraisals with your line manager.
Communication
You will actively participate in relevant team meetings and training sessions, liaise closely with colleagues regarding client care and service delivery, and maintain effective communication lines within the team, service users, and external agencies including acute, community, and voluntary services.
Learning and Development
You will comply with all mandatory training requirements and undertake any additional training identified during appraisals and supervision sessions.
Experience
Experience in administrative roles within healthcare or similar busy environments is desirable. Ability to work independently and manage conflicting demands effectively.
