About the Role
You will have a strong understanding of the barriers and issues affecting children and young people (CYP) and work closely with organisations and services that support or work with CYP, their families, carers, and schools. Your role involves linking with voluntary sector organisations and the local public health team to deliver preventative health and wellbeing support to children and young people. You will signpost CYP to appropriate services that meet their needs.
Together with CYP, organisations, schools, parents, families, and carers, you will co-design workshops, interventions, and solutions to support the wellbeing of CYP. You will develop workshops and sessions that address their needs, support culturally sensitive offers, and improve accessibility of existing services.
A substantial part of your time will be spent conducting outreach, working closely with communities to identify health and wellbeing needs and supporting the development of services in response. You will seek the community voice, recognising and addressing concerns around the needs of children and young people.
You will use excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to listen, respect, and value individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Experience
Experience working with children and young people, families, or community groups is desirable. Understanding of the challenges and barriers faced by CYP is essential.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or experience in health, social care, youth work, public health, or a related field are preferred but not mandatory. A willingness to learn and develop professionally is essential.
