About the Role
As a Mental Health Support Team Emotional Mental Health Practitioner (MHST EMHP), you will assess and deliver outcome-focused, evidence-based interventions in educational settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. You will work collaboratively and respectfully with the education staff in the settings where you are deployed. Your role involves working in partnership to support children, young people, their parents/carers, families, and educators in the self-management of presenting difficulties. You will develop intervention plans and agree outcomes in effective, evidence-based partnership with children, young people, their families, and educators. Empowering all involved to make informed choices about the interventions offered is a key part of this role.
Experience
Experience working with children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties is desirable. Ability to deliver evidence-based interventions in educational settings is essential.
