Location
London Borough of Bromley - working across six Children and Family Centres located in Biggin Hill, Penge, Mottingham, Bromley North, Orpington and St Paul’s Cray, as well as the Civic Centre. Flexibility to travel across the borough is essential.

Hours
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, 9:30am – 1:30pm plus two full Wednesdays per annum (one in April and one in October). Term time plus 1 week (39 weeks).

Salary
All appointments will be offered at the minimum salary point for the grade of the role, with exceptions for matching current salary up to the maximum scale subject to evidential proof.

About the Role
This is a fast-paced, fun, and rewarding role supporting the development of children across Bromley. You will work as part of the Early Years Team to support Early Years Practitioners in running crèche sessions for children aged 0-5, lead Learn and Play sessions for children and their parent/carers, and support the delivery of Bookstart. The role involves working with a wide range of children and families, positively impacting their learning and development using the EYFS framework. You will be required to work on site daily and may be asked to change venues at short notice to cover sickness or delivery needs. The role requires implementing relevant legislation and policies from the London Borough of Bromley and external agencies such as the Department of Education and Ofsted. You will be expected to actively participate in the development of the setting, wider service, and your own performance and training needs.

Requirements

Experience
Extensive knowledge of child development and the EYFS Framework. Proven ability to engage positively with children, parents, and staff. Experience supporting children with additional needs through differentiated delivery. Evidence of outstanding practice and promoting high standards of learning.

Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 or higher in Early Years or equivalent qualification is essential.
