About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Escort / Fabric Operative to join our team at HMP Wandsworth, a category adult male prison. HMP Wandsworth operates like a self-contained city, requiring hundreds of people to keep it functioning smoothly. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the prison, impacting prisoners, employees, visitors, and the wider community.
In this role, you will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and administrators. Together, you will contribute to providing a safe and secure environment for all.

Experience
- Experience of prison environment (desirable)
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Previous experience working within a building fabric / Hard FM environment

- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Committed to working as part of a team to maintain a safe and secure environment
Qualifications
- Up to date First Aid at Work qualification (desirable)
- Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (desirable)
