About the Role
Working under the direction of the Facilities Team Leader and Facilities Manager, you will provide flexible facilities and maintenance services to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all Council buildings across the Managed Estate. This role requires adaptability to work a range of shifts that support building opening times, including weekends. You will be part of a committed team delivering essential services that help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

Experience
Experience working as a Porter, Maintenance Officer, or Custodian, preferably in the public sector or a similar environment. Experience handling parcels, packages, and boxes, pushing trolleys, and moving around Council premises is essential. Previous experience as a Fire Warden, First Aider, PAT tester, or working at height is desirable.
About You
- Ability to work without supervision
- Clear understanding of Health and Safety compliance requirements within Facilities Management
- Experience working within a customer service environment
- Ability to set up and connect laptops, projectors, and other audio-visual equipment and follow testing procedures
Qualifications
Relevant certifications such as Fire Warden, First Aid, PAT testing, or Working at Height are advantageous but not mandatory. A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are essential.
