About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to promote Hackney as one of London’s most popular and dynamic boroughs for filmmaking. The Council’s Film Office acts as a one-stop shop for filmmakers seeking to shoot on location within Hackney. The role involves connecting filmmakers with council services, raising licensing revenues for the borough, and promoting Hackney as a filming destination.

As a Film Officer, you will be part of a small team managing all film, television, and photography shoots across Council-owned sites. You will be a self-starter with excellent attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and working effectively to deadlines. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will liaise with a diverse range of partners and stakeholders, often balancing competing priorities.

You will have a solid understanding of film and television production, particularly in relation to location filming. Providing excellent customer service is key, as you will work closely with clients in the creative industries and represent the Council at meetings with partners and residents.

The role requires managing shoots on site and attending location visits across the borough. Experience
Proven experience in managing film, television, or photography productions, especially location filming. Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines. Experience working with a variety of partners and stakeholders with competing priorities.

Qualifications
