About the Role
12 month Fixed Term/Secondment Opportunity.

At Hackney Council we have an ambitious vision to make the borough fairer and safer, greener and healthier and a great place for every child to grow up. To help deliver that vision, we have developed a cross-council transformation programme supported by a team who work with colleagues across the council to deliver improved services for residents.

Our current areas of focus include:
- Securing better community outcomes by preventing problems developing and reducing demand
- Reducing inequality by organising services, partners and community assets around neighbourhoods
- Driving up residents' experience of contacting and working with the council

In this role, you'll be delivering projects within the Hackney Neighbourhoods Programme, a council-wide programme to reduce inequality through place-based working. Your main focus will be running projects that tackle health inequality and inequality of access to services, working with council services, health partners and the voluntary and community sector to join up support around residents and intervene earlier, before need escalates into crisis.

You will oversee neighbourhood pilots and help shape the programme's work on culture change and policy development, supporting services to adopt new ways of working and ensuring learning from delivery shapes how the council operates. You will have experience facilitating genuine coproduction with residents and diverse community stakeholders, navigating complex multi-agency environments to deliver truly person-centred solutions.

The programme is at an early stage, so you will be helping to shape how neighbourhood working develops in Hackney rather than delivering a finished design. This is a genuine opportunity to influence how a council works with its residents and partners.

Experience
Proven experience in project management within local government or related sectors. Experience facilitating genuine coproduction with residents and diverse community stakeholders. Ability to navigate complex multi-agency environments to deliver person-centred solutions.
