Permanent, Full time, 35 hours per week with hybrid working; 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location
Salary
£46,503 - £56,000 depending on experience and qualifications plus £1,300 essential car user allowance*
About the Role
Join our Fire Safety Team at London and Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q) as a Fire Officer within Property Services. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to residents and the local community by ensuring fire safety is paramount. You will provide specialist fire safety management and risk assessment services across L&Q, conducting professional and compliant Fire Risk Assessments (FRA) on residential buildings including High Rise, Sheltered/Care Schemes, and Converted Street Properties. Reporting to the Senior Fire Officer, you will develop, implement, and manage fire safety procedures aligned with policy, best practice, and legislative requirements. The role demands a self-motivated, professional individual capable of delivering high quality, confidential, and customer-focused service. You will work both independently and as part of a team, supporting fire safety compliance and risk management across the South region.

Experience
- Extensive experience undertaking Fire Risk Assessments in the residential sector including High Rise and Sheltered/Care Schemes
- Knowledge and experience of Fire Safety legislation and Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
- Understanding of fire compliance within housing associations or local authorities
- Familiarity with Approved Documents and Industry Guidance
- Ability to work effectively both in office and remotely as part of a team

- Valid driving licence and access to a car
- Proficient in MS Office packages; training provided on bespoke systems
Qualifications
- Level 3/4 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment and Fire Safety Management
- Either already obtained or willing to work towards a Professional Fire Accreditation
