About the Role
Salesforce is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers—experienced Technical Builders who design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions directly inside enterprise customer environments. You will work as part of a delivery team, partnering closely with a Deployment Strategist (Strategic Builder) to co-build solutions that go live in production environments from day one. Engagements range from a single large strategic customer to multiple accounts simultaneously. The common thread is real code, real environments, and measurable business impact.

What You'll Be Building
- Develop AI agents and experiences that take real actions for real organisations, with solutions deployed at some of the largest enterprises globally.
- Design agent intelligence including prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integration with customer systems leveraging the Agentic AI platform and current LLM techniques.
- Own technical components end-to-end from architecture to deployment, validation, and observability in production.
- Build and integrate data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms, including data modeling, pipeline shipping, and output validation.
- Build and maintain agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting to track deployment health and business outcomes.
- Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs that progress from sketch to deployable in days.
- Co-build alongside customers and partners, sharing best practices and enablement to leave teams more capable after each engagement.
- Surface platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights to senior engineers and product teams, providing valuable product feedback.
- Partner with the Deployment Strategist to translate customer business challenges into agentic solutions that ship successfully.

Experience
- Minimum 3 years of software engineering or technical delivery experience.
- Proven experience with at least one production system, ideally involving AI tech stacks, full-stack development, or frontier models.
- Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience (consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering) is required.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering, able to analyze and improve prompt performance.
- Deep understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Comfortable engaging with sales teams and customer architects.
- Proven ability to ship quality code and rigorously evaluate AI outputs.
- Active experimentation with evolving AI/data tools, models, and frameworks.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time to work directly with customers.

About You
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Fluent in at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex, with willingness to learn others as needed.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Curious and proactive in exploring new AI technologies and sharing knowledge.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Qualifications
- Salesforce platform experience or certifications (Administrator, Platform Developer I, Agentforce Specialist) are a plus.
- Familiarity with agent frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex and orchestration patterns is desirable.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery is advantageous.
- Experience in specialist AI delivery areas such as data engineering, platform architecture, or headless deployments is beneficial.
