About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to build or develop your career in governance within a large, values-driven organisation. As Governance Assistant, you'll provide essential administrative and coordination support to the Governance Team, helping to ensure Board and Committee activity runs smoothly and efficiently. You will support the planning and delivery of Board and committee meetings, including agenda preparation and collation of papers using Decision Time. You will assist with accommodation, travel and catering arrangements for meetings and events, lead on the sealing of documents in line with governance procedures while maintaining accurate records (training provided), and monitor the Governance mailbox to ensure queries are handled professionally and escalated when appropriate. Additionally, you will file statutory returns with external bodies such as Companies House and the FCA, ensuring deadlines are met. You will provide day-to-day secretarial and administrative support to the Director of Governance and Compliance and the wider Governance Team, maintaining confidentiality at all times and ensuring compliance with GDPR and NHG policies. This role offers valuable exposure to senior leadership and formal governance processes within a professional, fast-paced environment.
Experience
- Previous administrative or secretarial experience, including meeting coordination and record-keeping
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Teams and SharePoint
