About the Role
Havering Works is an internal, grant-funded team providing employment support to residents facing barriers to securing and maintaining work. This fixed-term position is initially for 2 years with a possible extension to 3 years. The Team Leader will supervise a caseload of 4 Employment Specialists working directly with residents. The Connect to Work (CtW) programme must meet externally assessed quality standards including Individual Placement Support (IPS) and the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF). The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of employment support programmes and experience in staff supervision. Key responsibilities include close monitoring of client support, excellent record keeping, and attention to detail to ensure quality delivery of services.

Training on fidelity related to IPS and SEQF will be provided. The role requires leadership, coaching, and performance management skills to support and develop Employment Specialists, fostering a culture of learning and development. The Team Leader will also engage with partners such as clinical teams and Jobcentre Plus, advocating for IPS and supporting integration across systems.

Resilience and adaptability are essential to manage competing priorities and support staff through challenges within complex systems including health, employment, and social care.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven leadership and coaching skills with the ability to support and develop staff.
- Experience in reflective supervision and performance management.
- Understanding of employment support programmes and IPS principles.
- Skilled in partnership and stakeholder engagement, including working with clinical teams and Jobcentre Plus.
- Experience working within complex systems such as health, employment, and social care.

Qualifications
