About the Role
Are you an experienced and highly organised administrator with a passion for supporting educational leadership? Leaways School, part of the Kedleston Group, is looking for a dedicated Headteacher’s Office Manager to provide high-level administrative and organisational support to the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team. Please note that this is a Fixed Term Contract, end date: 31/08/2026. In this role, you will act as the first point of contact for the Headteacher’s office with professionalism and warmth, manage the Headteacher’s diary, appointments, and correspondence, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on actions. You will handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion, liaise with staff, parents, governors, and external stakeholders, organise school events, visits, and key calendar activities, maintain accurate digital and paper-based records, and support the wider admin team to foster a collaborative office environment.
Safeguarding & Wellbeing
Promote the safety, health, and welfare of staff and students, participate in safeguarding training and uphold child protection policies, and act as a positive role model at all times.
Training & Development
Engage in induction, supervision, and ongoing training, stay up to date with school policies and procedures, and undertake any training or duties as directed by the Headteacher.
Experience
Proven experience in a senior administrative or PA role.
About You
Excellent organisational and communication skills, ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality, a proactive, flexible, and professional approach, and strong IT skills with familiarity with school systems (desirable).

No specific qualifications required, but relevant experience is essential.
