About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead Corporate Health & Safety at the London Borough of Bexley. You will provide strategic leadership and professional management of the Council's Corporate Health and Safety Service, ensuring an effective governance, assurance and risk management framework that enables compliance with statutory health and safety duties and promotes continual improvement across all Council services. You will lead the development, implementation and monitoring of the Council's corporate health and safety management system, providing expert advice to senior leaders, Members and managers whilst embedding a positive organisational safety culture. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on health and safety standards across a diverse and vibrant borough.

Experience
Relevant qualifications and experience in health and safety management are required. Candidates should have a proven track record in providing strategic leadership and managing corporate health and safety services.

You will be a confident and professional individual capable of providing expert advice to senior leaders and embedding a positive safety culture across the organisation. Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills are essential. You should be committed to continuous improvement and able to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
