About the Role
As a Best Start In Life Inclusion Practitioner, you will work as a member of the Education team delivering universal and targeted, co-ordinated interventions to families with children under the age of 5, ensuring access to good quality play opportunities and sessions meeting Early Years Foundation Stage requirements. You will contribute to assessment, planning and intervention for families and work in partnership with parents and children providing practical, hands-on support, information, advice, and guidance covering a range of issues such as children’s developmental needs, behaviour management, parenting strategies, healthy eating and developing the home learning environment to ensure children are school ready. The successful candidate will be required to be hub or office based at least 4 days a week. Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Interviews are scheduled to be held on 13th October 2026.

Experience
- Working directly with children aged 0-5 in community, early years or related settings
- Multi-agency collaboration with health, education and early years services
- Delivering interventions and measuring impact

About you
- Knowledge of child development and early identification of additional needs, including SEND
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Framework
- Passionate about inclusion, early intervention and improving outcomes for children
