The postholder will provide technical support to national HPV surveillance projects, performing laboratory duties including receipt of samples, data entry onto the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and processing biological samples for analysis. Responsibilities include specimen handling, reagent preparation, DNA extraction, PCR processing, equipment monitoring, stock management, and assisting with quality assurance and audit programmes.
This role requires adherence to protocols and procedures to maintain high standards of laboratory work that is safe, effective, and economical. The postholder will also support training programmes, maintain confidentiality in line with data protection legislation, and actively participate in professional development.
