About the Role
Be the difference – join our new Lambeth service supporting young people aged 19–25. Imagine being the person who helps a young adult take their first step towards independence. Someone who listens without judgement, spots when they’re struggling, and guides them to the right help at the right time.
At Peabody, our Housing Support Workers do more than provide a roof; they help young people who have faced homelessness, trauma, or difficult life experiences to find their feet, rebuild confidence, and believe in themselves again.
In spring 2024, we’re launching a brand-new supported housing service in Lambeth. We’re looking for enthusiastic, motivated, and creative individuals who can engage residents, plan meaningful activities, and inspire them to learn the skills they need to thrive.
No two days are the same! You might be helping someone learn to budget so they can move into their own flat, supporting a resident to access counselling or mental health services, organising cooking sessions, job search workshops or community events, writing support plans and risk assessments to ensure safety, and working closely with partner agencies to connect residents with the right services.

Experience
Confident working with young people in housing, youth work, care, or similar settings. Knowledge of homelessness and housing legislation. Experience in support planning and risk assessments.

About you
A good listener, patient, and genuinely passionate about seeing young people succeed. Able to engage and inspire young people aged 19–25. Comfortable using Microsoft Office and maintaining accurate records. Flexible to work required shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Qualifications
Enhanced DBS check required. Right to work in the UK is essential. No specific formal qualifications stated but relevant experience and passion for the role are key.
