About the Role
Join Peabody as a Housing Support Worker and make a real difference in the lives of young people aged 16–25, including care leavers. This role focuses on providing practical and emotional support to help young people build life skills, access housing, and gain independence. You will support residents in developing skills for independent living such as navigating housing options, managing benefits, and budgeting. Creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where young people feel empowered and respected is key. You will also bring your own passions—whether in music, art, sports, or other interests—to enrich the community and build meaningful connections. Collaboration with colleagues and external partners ensures tailored support is provided at the right time. This is not a care role but a vital support position helping young people shape their futures.
Why Join Us?
At Peabody, our values guide everything we do: Be Kind, Do the Right Thing, Love New Ideas, Celebrate Diversity, Keep Our Promises, and Pull Together. We are committed to creating a supportive, inclusive, and empowering workplace. - Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
Qualifications
- Ideally some knowledge of safeguarding, support plans, or key working.
