About the Role
Join Peabody as a Housing Support Worker and make a real difference in the lives of young people aged 16–25, including care leavers. This role is focused on providing practical and emotional support to help young people build life skills, access housing, and gain independence. It is not a care role but involves empowering young people to navigate housing options, manage benefits, and budget effectively. You will create a safe, non-judgmental environment where young people feel respected and supported. Bringing your own passions such as music, art, or sports is encouraged to enrich the community and foster meaningful connections. Collaboration with colleagues and external partners is key to ensuring timely and appropriate support for each individual.

Experience
- Experience supporting vulnerable people in the community or supported living environments, either professionally or through volunteering.

- Effective communication skills with customers, colleagues, and external agencies.
- Ability to build strong professional relationships.
- Empathetic, resilient, and passionate about making a positive impact.
- Understanding of safeguarding practices and knowledge of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
- Confident working independently (including lone working) and as part of a team.
- Good IT skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
