About the Role
Join Peabody as a Housing Support Worker and make a real impact in the lives of vulnerable adults. This fixed term contract runs until August 2026. At Peabody, we are dedicated to helping vulnerable tenants and individuals live well and independently by providing specialist housing, care, and support to those who are socially excluded, disabled, unwell, or homeless. In this role, you will enable people to sustain their tenancy and thrive within the community by offering practical and emotional support that empowers them to take an active part in their lives. This is not a care role; it focuses on empowering individuals to achieve stability and independence by helping them access housing, manage benefits, and develop essential life skills.
You will work directly with adults facing complex challenges such as trauma, mental health issues, or substance misuse. Your responsibilities will include supporting individuals to access and sustain housing, assisting with budgeting, benefits, and tenancy management, creating a safe and respectful environment, encouraging engagement in meaningful activities and community connections, and collaborating with colleagues and external agencies to provide holistic support.
Why Join Us?
When you join Peabody, you become part of a team that lives by our values: Be Kind, Do the Right Thing, Love New Ideas, Celebrate Diversity, Keep Our Promises, and Pull Together. We are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels supported, included, and empowered.
Benefits include 25 days’ annual leave, flexible benefits such as healthcare, dental, and discounts, 4x Life Assurance, up to 10% pension contribution, professional development opportunities including funded apprenticeships, two paid volunteering days each year, family-friendly policies, and a supportive team culture.
