About the Role
HES Catering Services is the Local Authority provider of school meals for the London Borough of Havering, working in partnership with local schools and academies to provide award-winning meals and services. We supply a wide range of high-quality catering services to the majority of schools within the borough and also support schools outside Havering with bespoke solutions.

The Kitchen Assistant role at Parsonage Farm School involves undertaking the preparation, simple cooking, and serving of food and beverages in accordance with the Council’s contractual arrangements. You will support the kitchen supervisor in all aspects of the food service and assume responsibility for the food service in the supervisor’s absence.

HES Catering prides itself on delivering healthy, fresh, vibrant, and tasty meals using the highest quality produce, serving over 15,000 meals per day across schools.

Experience
No specific experience required. Training and support will be provided.

About you
You will report to the Cook Supervisor or Higher Graded Operative and have no direct staffing responsibilities. You should be reliable, motivated, and able to work the defined hours as per the staffing profile.

Working hours are 11.25 hours per week during term time, plus 4 cleaning days during school holidays.

No formal qualifications are required for this role, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
