About the Role
This is an opportunity to join Clifford Chance's global Knowledge and Training (K&T) function as a Knowledge Lawyer supporting the London Tax team. Clifford Chance is one of the world's leading law firms, committed to client service excellence and innovation. The K&T function drives quality, consistency, efficiency, and innovation across the firm by producing better-trained fee earners supported by gold-standard knowledge resources. You will ensure that relevant fee earners have legal knowledge and knowhow at their fingertips, focusing on UK and international tax developments relevant to the London Tax team.

You will be the primary resource for legislative developments, responsible for designing, coordinating, and delivering training, as well as maintaining and producing templates. Your role includes internal knowledge sharing, thought leadership, and client briefings. You will work closely with fee earners to collate, analyse, and share legislative, regulatory, transaction, and advisory insights within the Tax team and other global product groups.

While your expertise will focus on the London Tax team, you will collaborate globally within the K&T function to ensure knowledge assets are captured and utilised effectively. You will leverage technology, including AI tools, to manage and deliver work efficiently and promote legal technology adoption among fee earners. By combining innovation with legal expertise, you will support the delivery of more efficient, consistent, and client-focused legal services.

You will work primarily with partners and fee earners in the London Tax team and collaborate with Knowledge Lawyers and information specialists globally. You will also engage with Thought Leadership, Business Development, Marketing, Communications, PR, and Legal Technology teams to support external-facing materials and innovation projects.

Experience
You will be a mid to senior level lawyer or existing Knowledge Lawyer (PSL) with significant experience in UK tax matters. Experience in knowledge management and legal training is advantageous but not essential. You should have a strong academic background, excellent research and drafting skills, attention to detail, and robust organisational abilities.

You will be proactive and committed to delivering first-class service to fee earners and clients, with excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills. A high level of commercial awareness and a track record of keeping abreast of legal developments are essential. Experience or strong interest in legal technology, AI, and innovation is beneficial.

You should be able to engage effectively with key stakeholders including partners, clients, and industry leaders. You will have a collaborative mindset and be keen to support knowledge sharing, training, and innovation initiatives across the firm. A commitment to continuous learning and development is important.

Qualifications
An excellent academic background in law is required. Prior experience as a Knowledge Lawyer or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory. A strong interest in knowledge management, training, and legal technology is highly valued.
