Salary
£65,922 - £68,265 per annum (PO8). All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point for the grade, except where matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale) with evidential proof.

The Digital Product and Development team is passionate about delivering innovative digital products for residents, staff, and businesses. We work in a modern, agile way with the user at the heart of delivery, combining product managers, designers, developers, and delivery specialists to take services from concept through to launch.
As Lead Product Manager, you will have overall responsibility for Place Digital Products and Roadmap, reporting to the Head of Digital Product & Development. You will create and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, using data to prioritize a multi-disciplinary software development team's backlog. Leading a team of product managers, you will provide support, training, and coaching, coordinating a roadmap of services across your domain.
Your typical week may include creating roadmaps for products such as Street Environment Services, Licensing, or Food Safety; defining product vision and success measures; collaborating with senior developers on technical priorities; coaching your team on backlog refinement; and running workshops with senior stakeholders to identify new product opportunities.
This is a fixed term opportunity lasting 24 months.

Experience
- Managing multiple digital products, creating product vision and goals, and leading development teams to achieve them.
- Leading and managing a team of product managers, including building training programmes for product ownership.
- Creating and managing roadmaps for a portfolio of digital services.
- Strong knowledge of IT industry and technology solutions to support digital services across the Council.
- Gathering and clarifying business requirements effectively.
- Managing delivery of digital products to agreed business specifications.
- Managing third-party IT and service suppliers.
- Building, planning, and managing project and departmental budgets.
- Operational experience within a Local Authority commercial environment, particularly housing services.
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and associated technologies.

Qualifications
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) – desirable.
