About the Role
The Induction & Access Coordinator is a vital member of the wider security team, responsible for the smooth operation of the project-wide access control and workforce management system. Reporting to the Induction and Access Lead, you will be the primary contact for all induction-related queries across 23 main site compounds and offices. Your role includes managing all aspects of the induction process, competency framework knowledge, and workforce management system administration as required by project stakeholders.
You will be approachable, a team player, and possess excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, subcontractors, and visitors. Key responsibilities include managing access control, verifying competency documents, coordinating induction days, troubleshooting with supply chain administrators, maintaining the induction inbox, verifying profiles, managing vetting clearance, and maintaining procurement approval processes.
You will also provide briefings and guidance to project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and third parties on system developments, represent the joint venture’s interests in security and safety alignment, report breaches or system abuse, and escalate issues to the Security Systems Manager. Driving innovation and upskilling the project team in security systems and supporting the rollout of Health, Safety and Security briefings and behavioural change programmes such as ‘Love for Life’ are also part of your role.
A typical day involves induction meet & greet, attendance checks, public speaking at the Welcome Centre Theatre, HSPS portal and Biosite registration, ID and Right to Work verification, D&A testing coordination, and troubleshooting. You will manage daily tasks including induction registration, access card processing, running and acting on Biosite reports, chasing expired qualifications and Right to Work documents, processing emergency and visitor access requests, maintaining the induction inbox, and resolving site access issues in collaboration with Security.
