About the Role
The Senior BIM Coordinator role is a key position within the HRS02 Rail Systems programme, operating under strict HS2 Works Information and ISO 19650 standards. You will support the delivery of BIM/AIM processes across the HRS02 M&E scope, providing operational support to the BIM Lead in managing digital information throughout the project lifecycle. Acting as the primary operational contact for suppliers on BIM and information delivery matters, you will coordinate day-to-day information delivery, resolve routine issues, and prepare required reporting. While strategic direction and senior stakeholder engagement remain with the BIM Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance and smooth digital coordination across the project.

Responsibilities include managing supplier communications on BIM and digital delivery, triaging and resolving issues related to access, modelling methodology, coordination, noncompliance, and workflows. You will monitor deliverables listed in the MIDP, coordinate updates to the MPDT with Design Managers and suppliers, and collaborate with Document Control, Engineering, Integration, and Quality teams as needed. You will coordinate federated models across HRS02 parties, facilitate clash avoidance and resolution activities, and review alignment between models, drawings, and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

As the BIM operational lead, you will attend design and coordination meetings, support compliance of all information deliverables with HS2 and project requirements, and assist with the integration of CSM and CDM data and asset UAIDs into graphical models. You will support the use of PIM and AIM CDEs in line with WI requirements, monitor information exchanges, and provide digital coordination support to the Interface Manager. Additionally, you will support structured asset data delivery, prepare and maintain digital reporting under HS2 and WI processes, and assist in audit and governance review preparations.

You will also be responsible for developing and delivering BIM training to embed BIM processes within the team and delegate tasks to achieve Level aspirations.

Experience
- Proven experience in BIM coordination or information management on major infrastructure or rail projects
- Working knowledge of ISO 19650 and Common Data Environment processes
- Experience coordinating federated models and clash detection
- Strong track record of developing effective relationships with colleagues and supply chain
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills including report writing and management papers
- Flexible and adaptable to change with proactive self-development

Qualifications
- Minimum HND in a relevant field
- Experience in construction industry and/or design/project lifecycles
- Excellent digital toolset experience including Bentley applications
- Desirable: ISO 19650 related certification
- Desirable: Relevant BIM or digital management qualifications
- Desirable: Familiarity with HS2 Works Information and reporting requirements
- Desirable: Understanding of CDM and design risk management processes
- Desirable: Knowledge of data science and ability to derive insights from data
