Full Time - Shift pattern between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday with call outs on a rota basis
Salary
£41,500 to £46,000 per annum, dependent on experience
About the Role
Join L&Q’s Maintenance Service as one of two Reactive Maintenance Supervisors. One position is a 12-month fixed term contract covering South West London, and the other is a permanent role covering South London. Candidates should specify which position they are applying for or if they wish to be considered for both.
You will supervise approximately 10 multi-trade and specialist maintenance operatives working across the neighbourhood. Reporting to the Maintenance Team Manager, you will liaise regularly with Housing Management, Property Services, Surveying, Caretaking, Planning and Scheduling teams, the Contact Centre, and other Supervisors to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.

This role requires a focus on high-quality work with a first-time fix approach, providing technical advice on complex jobs, and developing the skills and professional growth of your team. You will engage with contractors and Contracts Managers to monitor and report on performance. Health and Safety knowledge, including asbestos awareness, is critical to ensure compliance and proactive risk management.

Experience
- Supervising a team within a reactive/responsive maintenance service in social housing, local authority, or similar environment
- Proven technical knowledge of trades and maintenance
- Experience managing budgets and delivering KPIs
- Leading dispersed teams and managing performance through informal and formal processes
- Managing absence and contributing to recruitment decisions
