About the Role
We are recruiting a Neighbourhood Engagement & Partnerships Manager to join our award-winning team within the Housing & Regeneration Directorate of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. This is an exciting time to join as we are transforming the way we engage with and deliver services to our 21,000 tenants and leaseholders. We want to ensure our residents are at the heart of shaping our housing management services, providing them with the tools and resources to make their engagement meaningful.
We are looking for an experienced and confident resident engagement professional who is highly creative and motivated, committed to developing and delivering innovative and impactful engagement programmes that meet the needs of our diverse communities. Experience working in a diverse inner-city area and a good understanding of social housing regulations are important.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working with internal and external partners to deliver our Tenant & Leaseholder Engagement Strategy, putting residents at the core of service delivery.
- Collaborating with residents and stakeholders to develop Neighbourhood Action Plans for each of our 27 neighbourhoods and working collectively to deliver the actions.
- Leading support for the 31 Tenants and Residents Associations, including governance and capacity building, ensuring their views influence service development.
- Developing and delivering a resident capacity building programme to enhance residents’ knowledge and skills for meaningful involvement in engagement activities and community services.

Experience
Proven experience as a resident engagement professional, ideally within a diverse inner-city area. Strong understanding of social housing regulations is essential.

You are a highly creative, motivated individual committed to delivering innovative and impactful engagement programmes. You have excellent communication and partnership working skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with residents, internal teams, and external stakeholders. You are passionate about putting residents at the heart of service delivery and building capacity within communities.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or demonstrable experience in community engagement, housing management, or a related field are desirable but not mandatory. A commitment to ongoing professional development is expected.
