Location
South East London, primarily based at Laurence House, Catford, London, SE6 4RU. This role operates a hybrid working approach with a combination of office and home working.

Salary
£42,912 - £44,235 per annum (SO2). All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role unless matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale) with evidential proof.
About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist Surveyor, you will provide specialised expert technical support and advice for adaptations to Community Occupational Therapy clients. Your role includes inspecting council dwellings to advise on adaptation methods, providing technical advice to support tenants with disabilities to live independently, and ensuring all adaptation works comply with relevant planning and building regulations. You will carry out site surveys, prepare sketch schemes and scaled working drawings, submit documentation for planning and building regulation approvals, prepare specifications and schedules of work, manage tender procedures, obtain competitive estimates, and recommend suitable contractors. You will ensure all statutory processes for Council-owned properties are followed and that all works are completed to a satisfactory standard.

Experience
Experience in inspecting council dwellings to advise on adaptations and providing technical advice to support tenants with disabilities. Skilled in carrying out site surveys, preparing technical drawings, managing tender procedures, and ensuring compliance with planning and building regulations.

Motivated, organised, adaptable, and experienced in delivering safe, effective, and person-centred housing solutions. Strong understanding of the link between health, housing, and independence. Confident in recommending appropriate adaptations balancing clinical judgement with practical building considerations. Excellent communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach. Commitment to promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing for residents.
Qualifications
Relevant technical qualification such as HNC, ONC, or NVQ Level 3. The role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
