About the Role
As a Peer Worker, you’ll be at the heart of your Peabody community, using your lived experience of recovery to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. Every day brings something new – from offering one-to-one support to leading group activities that build confidence, resilience, and life skills. You’ll play a vital role in helping residents discover their own recovery techniques while fostering hope, acceptance, and a sense of belonging.
You’ll support residents in a variety of ways, whether that’s encouraging someone to join a local self-help group, guiding them in managing everyday responsibilities, or helping them develop strategies to cope with the challenges they face. By sharing your personal journey in a supportive, non-judgemental way, you’ll inspire residents to build confidence and take positive steps forward. Alongside this, you’ll collaborate with colleagues to deliver engaging group activities and contribute to the overall wellbeing of the community.
This role requires an enhanced DBS check.
