About the Role
London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. This role focuses on enabling data platforms including Databricks, Event Hubs, and Azure Storage through infrastructure-as-code, automation, and modern DevOps practices. You will collaborate closely with engineering, data, and platform teams to streamline deployment pipelines, ensure reliability of data services, and support both real-time and batch data workloads. Key responsibilities include designing and managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform, building CI/CD pipelines, deploying and supporting Azure-native data services, managing SQL-based systems, automating operational tasks, administering Linux environments, monitoring system performance and costs, ensuring security and compliance, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting real-time data pipelines and streaming architectures.

Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (mandatory)
- Proficient with Microsoft Azure core services, networking, and security
- Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Storage (ADLS Gen2, Blob)
- Proficiency in SQL including querying, performance tuning, and data workflows
- Strong Python and Bash scripting skills
- Solid Linux system administration experience
- Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Azure security best practices including RBAC, managed identities, and Key Vault
- Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps or similar
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Datadog or Splunk
