About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Plumber / Mechanical Engineer (Level 2) to join our team at HMP Wandsworth, a category B male prison. Join a team that is more than just colleagues - we work Monday to Sunday as a supportive and driven family, working together to create a safe and nurturing environment.
HMP Wandsworth operates like a self-contained city, requiring hundreds of people to keep it functioning. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the prison, impacting every prisoner, employee, visitor, and the wider community.
In this role, you will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues from various trades including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a safe and secure environment.

Experience
Experience as a Plumber or Mechanical Engineer at Level 2 is required. Knowledge of Health & Safety practices is essential.

Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 in a mechanical or plumbing discipline or equivalent qualification is required.
