£36,066.96 per annum with an additional 5% basic salary in recognition of shift and weekend work
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Plumber / Mechanical Engineer (Level 2) to join our Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Feltham. The site includes Feltham (A), a Young Offender Institution (YOI) housing children and young people aged 15 to 18 years, and Feltham (B), a Category C prison and YOI holding young people and men up to the age of 30 years. You will be part of a supportive and driven team working Monday to Sunday, committed to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
HMP Feltham operates like a self-contained city, requiring hundreds of people to keep it functioning. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the site, impacting prisoners, employees, visitors, and the wider community.
In this role, you will work alongside experienced colleagues from various trades including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference. Experience
Experience as a Plumber or Mechanical Engineer at Level 2 or equivalent is required. Knowledge of Health & Safety practices is essential.

Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 in a mechanical or plumbing discipline or equivalent qualification is required.
