We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Level Chartered Building Surveyor to join our established L&I Technical Due Diligence & Commercial Building Surveying team. The role primarily involves commercial building surveying with a varied workload including professional and technical advisory services. You will be expected to demonstrate technical excellence and have broad experience in commercial surveying and consultancy.

The successful candidate will manage multiple instructions simultaneously, focusing on service delivery as part of larger commission teams to achieve exceptional client outcomes. You will work directly with clients, manage your time effectively to meet deadlines, and ensure financial performance aligns with cost forecasts to maintain profitability.

Key responsibilities include commercial building surveying and some project management across various building types, predominantly commercial. Experience in dilapidations is desirable. This role offers a high level of responsibility and accountability, with opportunities to develop both managerial and technical skills and progress within a successful, growing specialist team.

Additional duties include managing risk in service delivery, contributing to service improvement initiatives, driving organic revenue growth, and implementing the business plan for commercial building surveying services. You will undertake professional technical consultancy commissions such as Technical Due Diligence, condition surveys, LTAs, and PPM schedules. Effective communication and collaboration with Project Managers and Team Leaders to ensure efficient financial control and cost-effective service delivery are essential.

You will represent Arcadis professionally, providing regular quantified progress updates to the Sector Director to support mentoring and supervision of junior building surveyors.

Experience
Minimum 3 years PQE as a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS qualified). Multi-discipline experience in commercial building surveying and consultancy. Experience in dilapidations is desirable. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks from inception to completion. Demonstrated commercial awareness and financial astuteness.
