The Privacy Operations team is a key part of Stripe's global privacy program, focused on operational excellence. We act as the authoritative hub for privacy processes, ensuring high-quality privacy experiences for users and data subjects, and maintaining clear, auditable documentation for internal and external stakeholders. We collaborate closely with Privacy Legal and Privacy Engineering to protect user data.

As Privacy Operations Program Manager, you will own critical programs that govern how Stripe manages privacy at scale. You will oversee end-to-end management of data subject requests, privacy impact assessments, records of processing activities, transfer impact assessments, and cookie compliance. Your day-to-day decisions will ensure operations remain regulatory-ready and auditable.

You will identify opportunities to improve and automate processes, build documentation and tooling to sustain consistent and scalable operations, and serve as a vital link between Privacy Legal, Privacy Engineering, and cross-functional partners. Acting as a primary contact for incoming privacy requests, you will manage triage and routing, and develop playbooks and response libraries to deliver consistent, high-quality privacy experiences for users and regulators.

Experience
- 5+ years of demonstrated privacy program management with a proven track record of operationalizing and scaling cross-functional, organization-wide programs from the ground up
- Strong collaboration, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to convey complex ideas succinctly to diverse audiences
- Hands-on experience with privacy legislation such as GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and PIPEDA; experience with US state legislation, HIPAA, and GLBA is a plus
- Practical experience managing privacy impact assessments (PIAs and DPIAs), data subject request workflows, records of processing activities (ROPA), or other core privacy program operations
- Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes and trends, and document complex narratives in a simplified, usable manner
- Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities

Qualifications
- Preferred but not required: experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments, especially in the tech industry
- Experience leveraging AI to accelerate day-to-day privacy operations
- Familiarity with third-party risk management, RFP and DDQ response processes, or cross-border transfer assessments
- Privacy certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, or CIPM are a plus
