Experience
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a directly related field, obtained by summer 2027, or equivalent work experience.
- New grad candidates should have no more than 18 months of professional experience (excluding internships).
- Experience and familiarity with programming through side projects or classwork. We primarily use Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Scala, and Go.
- Experience from internships or collaborative multi-person coding projects in university or professional settings.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar systems independently and with mentorship.
- Clear written communication skills to explain work to stakeholders and team members.
- Ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate development while applying rigorous critical thinking and professional judgment to review and validate outputs.

Qualifications
- One or more areas of specialized knowledge (frontend, backend, infrastructure, or other technologies) balanced with general skills.
- Experience with code review practices and safely updating production systems.
- Familiarity with navigating and managing large code bases.
- Experience leading small projects independently and contributing to larger projects.
- Ability to operate with high agency in navigating complex technical obstacles independently, knowing when to unblock oneself and when to ask for help.
