The Solutions Architecture team partners with our largest, most complex users to understand their technical requirements and map those to Stripe technology. As a Solutions Architect, you will collaborate with Sales to technically qualify new business opportunities, demonstrate the possibilities of the Stripe Platform, and design robust technical solutions that enable payment transactions, manage money movements, and simplify financial operational processes. You will engage strategically with customers to create solutions that support their business objectives in complex, mission-critical environments, articulating the value and capabilities of Stripe’s technology clearly and confidently. You will work cross-functionally both internally and within customer organizations at all levels, from CxOs to Product Engineering, delivering exceptional customer results as part of a pre-sales team while leveraging your deep technical expertise.

Responsibilities
- Engage with Chief Technical Officers, engineering leads, and other technical stakeholders to share technology roadmaps, demonstrate innovations, and define solution strategies
- Lead technical discussions and solution deep dives to showcase Stripe’s value
- Advocate for customers internally to ensure their needs influence product engineering and priorities
- Plan and participate in quarterly business reviews, identify new opportunities, and collaborate on account planning
- Create technical content such as reference architectures and demos, and represent Stripe as a thought leader at industry conferences

Experience
- 4+ years of work experience or equivalent in roles including pre-sales, technical architecture (application, technical, systems or integration), technical consulting, application delivery, or technical engineering
- At least 4 years in a customer-facing pre-sales role
- Strong technical knowledge in software architecture with breadth across technology stacks and deep hands-on skills
- Comfortable discussing technical concepts and explaining product features and API architecture
- Experience with large enterprise customers

Qualifications

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to large audiences
- Preferred: background in payments systems and e-commerce solutions (not required)
