The Money as a Service (MaaS) organization at Stripe focuses on making money programmable through funding, foreign exchange, sending, and spending. The teams build APIs and product experiences that enable Stripe users to manage money globally. Recent product launches include multicurrency balances and global payouts.

As a Software Engineer on the Money Movement team, you will design, build, and maintain APIs, user experiences, services, and large-scale systems that reliably handle billions of money movement requests. You will debug critical production issues, mentor engineers, collaborate with stakeholders across the company, and meet directly with users to shape product changes. This role requires working effectively in a distributed and hybrid team environment while maintaining open communication and strong connections with colleagues.

We are looking for backend, frontend-leaning fullstack, and fullstack engineers passionate about building software services and platforms that impact thousands of employees and millions of Stripe users, including end users, developers, and partners.

Experience
2-12+ years of industry software engineering experience (excluding internships or co-ops). Strong coding skills in any programming language; our interview process is language agnostic. Proven ability to collaborate across workstreams and contribute to team success. Experience building user interfaces and designing APIs is a plus.
